Samtronix CC was established in Durban, Kwazulu Natal, by Devan Moodley over twenty years ago and has grown from strength to strength as one of KZN’s leading fridge and appliance repairs and air conditioning specialists.

The company founder, Devan Moodley, started his career in electronic service and repairs in the late 1980’s, serving as an apprentice at Teltron (Sanyo agents).

After qualifying in the early 1990’s as a radio and TV technician, Devan moved to Autodek Enterprises (Alpine agents) as a technician, where he was promoted to service manager in the mid 1990’s.

In the late 1990’s he moved to Frank & Hirsch (JVC Agents) where he served as a service manager, running a workshop with a staff of 50 reporting directly to him.
Devan was then transferred to the technical department of Omega Holdings as a departmental service manager.

While at Omega Holdings, Devan also took on the management of the air-conditioning department which included brands such as Haier and Tempest.
In 1996 Devan was awarded a ‘Service Excellence Merit Certificate’ by Omega holdings. This was followed with his branch being awarded ‘Branch of the Month’ in March 2000.

Later that same year he was offered and accepted a management buyout opportunity, taking over the Service Department of Omega Holdings in Durban (trading as Technifix).
This gave him the reins as branch manager to now supply service throughout the province.

In 2007 his branch was appointed as a Samsung Service Centre.

Following this, in 2011, Samtronix cc was established, specialising in Samsung appliances, refrigeration and audio-visual products along with general domestic and commercial appliance repairs and various air conditioning related services.
